Built for seekers of truth

We believe everyone deserves access to what the Bible actually says— not filtered through centuries of theological interpretation, but through the original words the authors chose.

Making original languages accessible

For centuries, understanding the Bible's original Hebrew and Greek required years of seminary training. Strong's Concordance changed that in 1890, but it was still a dense reference book few people used.

We built Bible Verses Meaning to put that same depth in your pocket— enhanced by modern AI to explain not just what words mean, but why the biblical authors chose them and what that means for your life today.

"I wanted to know what the Bible actually says—not what someone thinks it says."

That's the question that started this journey. And it's the question we're here to help you answer.

Three pillars that guide everything we build

🔬

Linguistics over Theology

We focus on what words actually mean in Hebrew and Greek—not what any denomination says they mean. Facts first, always.

📖

Exegesis over Eisegesis

We draw meaning out of the text (exegesis), rather than reading modern ideas into it (eisegesis). What did the author intend?

💡

Practical over Academic

Every insight should help you live better. We translate ancient wisdom into modern application—without telling you what to believe.

Founder & Developer

Hi, I'm Bryan 👋

The idea for Bible Verses Meaning came to me in November 2023. It's been a challenging and incredible journey to bring this app to life, and I pray it helps you grow closer to God through a true understanding of His Word.

I built this app because I was frustrated. How many times have you read a verse and thought, "What does that really mean though?" Every Bible app I tried gave me someone else's interpretation—devotionals with theological spin, commentary filtered through denominational lenses. I just wanted to know what the words meant. I've sat in church with similar questions: Is that really what the Bible is telling us? Is there context being lost?

I'm a mechanical engineer by trade, but I've always been drawn to biblical hermeneutics—particularly the original Hebrew and Greek. I believe everyone should have access to that depth without needing seminary training.

This app is built for seekers—people who want truth over tradition, facts over opinions. If that's you, I think you'll love it. And the work isn't done—I have a roadmap of features to bring even more value to Bible Verses Meaning subscribers.
